Salvation Army School in Lucea

We went with the Russells to a school ran by the Salvation Army - they admit any and all - especially those who can't afford public school - aren't the children beautiful?! We visited the 3,4,5 year old classrooms and you could hear the children whispering - Look at the white people! The LDS Church has given them all their computers for the school and all the cribs for their daycare unit. The director was delightful and very appreciative of all that the Church has done for them. Sister Russell is hugging the three year olds - and I loved watching them on the playground.

  2. This is my favorite picture from your mission also. You and dad are glowing, the children are beautiful, and I love the Salvation Army! They do so much good in the world, quietly, consistently.
