Making Charcoal

This is Paul's charcoal pit - he starts pieces of wood on fire, covers it with dirt and lets it smoke until it is charcoal - then he puts it in a bag and sells it to the jerk chicken cafes! Here is the project we helped him with at the Village Hotel - Paul planting (most plants he grew himself), Dad unloading the truck and Paul's axe - held on with re-bar, wood, etc. Jamaicans are very resourceful!
